We love the holidays at La Vita Dolce. My favorite aspect of the season is the general inclination toward joy and giving that comes with it. The holiday spirit is absolutely a real and unstoppable phenomenon. Every year I witness it glowing and spreading all around me. People smile more, they seek out opportunities to help others, and they generally seem to give and receive love more freely. It’s magical. So this year, we decided to dedicate a week to events and activities designed to compliment and spread the spirit of the season.
Monday, December 11
Holiday Tree Lighting on the Southern Village Green
At 5:30p on Monday, December 11, Scroggs Elementary 5th grade chorus and Culbreth Middle School chorus will perform holiday music. Singing will be followed by the tree lighting at 6:00p. Admission is free and all are welcome! La Vita Dolce will be on the Green serving complimentary hot chocolate and Scroggs Elementary will be selling baked goods to support their new robotics program. Join us as we light up the community with joy!

Toys for Tots, Coffee for Customers!
La Vita Dolce is collecting new and unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots organization. The box is in the cafe, and you can drop off toys any time, but on December 12, we’re giving you a little extra incentive. Those who bring in a new, unwrapped toy for our Toys for Tots box on December 12 will receive 50% off any drink they order (with the exception of alcoholic drinks). That includes all of our winter drink specials like our S’mores Hot Chocolate or Mocha, Honey Ginger Latte, Spiced Apple Chai Latte, and more. Each toy you bring in gets you an additional half-priced drink, so bring a few and treat your friends — or taste test all of our holiday drink specials yourself!

Wine Down Wednesday, Holiday Edition
Every Wednesday, we offer 50% off all wine by the bottle and 30% off by the glass for Wine Down Wednesday. On December 13, we’re hosting a special winter Wine Down Wednesday with free samples of a mulled wine holiday cocktail (also available for purchase by the glass), and holiday tunes (yes, we will take requests!). Join us to mingle, jingle, and sip!

Gingerbread Cookie Decorating
Our 4-day holiday series culminates with one of our favorite events of the year: the annual Gingerbread Cookie Decorating event, held on December 14 from 3pm to 6pm. It’s free to come by and $4 for a gingerbread cookie and decorative icing and candies. All ages have fun at this event and our full selection of holiday drinks and treats will be available (we recommend pairing your gingerbread cookie with our new Biscoff Cookie Butter Affogato).
