April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (#SAAM) and to help spread awareness and raise funds for survivor services and community education, we’re holding a Turn it Teal Tunes Benefit for the Orange County Rape Crisis Center.
What does that mean?
It means on Friday, April 26, we’ll have live jazz/pop by Popcorn Blue Band on the patio, teal cocktails, a raffle, and a fun way to contribute to OCRCC. 50% of all sales from 4:00p until close on April 26 will go to OCRCC, as will all raffle ticket sales.
So come out for free live music, wine, craft beer, small plates, gelato and more — and know that your afternoon fun is also contributing to a wonderful cause.
About the organization and cause:
The Orange County Rape Crisis Center’s mission is very important to us at La Vita Dolce, and we do as much as possible to support the Center. After the Kavanaugh hearings last year, the Center saw a 400% increase in incoming calls on their crisis line. 400%! This is great — it means more people are coming forward. It also means the Center needs the resources to grow so that it can provide more survivor services education to anyone who needs it, at no charge. Every bit of funding and awareness helps, so we encourage you to join us on April 26 as we work to do our part.
